About Hotpot Express
Located at 6456 Antelope Rd, Citrus Heights, CA 95621, Hotpot Express operates as a hot pot serving Citrus Heights in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Citrus Heights; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5β10 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (916) 735-8512. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, facebook.com.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 216 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded hot pot in Citrus Heights.
Citrus Heights is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Citrus Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This was my first time ever having Hotpot; I really enjoyed it. For those like me the experience is very like fondue. There are burners at each table where your creations are cooked. You start by choosing your base/broth (they have 2 that are vegetarian. Then select your ingredients.. Seafood, veggies, dumplings, noodles. Then it's time to cook.. About 10 minutes later it's time to eat. What I really liked was my friend could have seafood and traditional broth and I could have vegetarian broth veggies, noodles tofu, even veg dumplings. It's a really fun experience in a low key setting.

My daughter has been begging to visit a hot pot restaurant for months. We found this place when we were in Citrus Heights. It's tucked in a small strip mall close to the Stone Casino. The atmosphere is very pleasant and clean. This is a small family-owned restaurant. The owner, who greeted us upon entering and gave exceptional service was great. We ordered the traditional house soup base. My daughter loved the mushrooms, the dumplings, and the short ribs, and hard-boiled eggs that she added to the broth. She was in heaven. The owner and I had a nice chat afterwards about baseball π

We finally got to try this place out and it's was fantastic. We went early on a Saturday night it was only us and another couple. The server (may have been the owner) was so welcoming and cheerful! We chose the "Fan Favorite" Boat Noodle Broth, which is a solid classic choice, as well as the House Special Tom Yum. That was our favorite! It was a very relaxed, but fun atmosphere and the man who was helping us was very friendly. Overall a good experience and we want to take our friends there to try it out too.

I absolutely love this place, great prices, great service, and it doesn't make me feel bloated like other foods. It's also great for people with dietary restrictions, I'm gluten free and was so glad they had rice noodles. Everything is separate in the fridge so you have nothing to worry about. They also have a nice selection of other things that aren't hot pot. The main problem I see most people having is finding the price for the soup base, it's very small but it is right under the steamed rice and above boat noodle broth, it's $5.50 . I highly recommend it to anyone!
